Epson’s new printer is the latest addition to its next-generation range of large-format signage printers
Epson is expanding its range of large-format signage printers with the launch of the SureColor S7100. “Building on the success of the SC-S40600, which has sold over 11,000 units worldwide, the SC-S7100 has been designed with a focus on reliability, productivity, ease of use and exceptional print quality,” says the manufacturer.
The SC-S7100, an eco-solvent 4-color printer, incorporates advanced technologies that enhance both the user experience and the quality of results :
- New printhead technology
The improved PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, measuring 1.33 inches in height, enables faster printing and wider print widths in a single pass, by increasing the number of nozzles from 360 to 400. - Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT)
This automated nozzle condition detection system alerts users to any problems, ensuring optimum printer performance. - Increased speed and productivity
The SC-S7100 boasts a 23.8% increase in productivity in default mode (6-pass vinyl) compared with the SC-S40600, considerably reducing production times without compromising image quality. - Larger ink packs
Switching from 700-ml cartridges to 800-ml ink packs reduces ink replacement frequency, while generating 91% less waste per pack, in line with Epson’s sustainability objectives. - Robust media-feeding system
Advanced media-feeding technology ensures precise media management and reduces potential damage thanks to improved tension control and a reinforced feed roller.
